Dear Parents

Ash Wednesday
Tomorrow our students will gather together for an Ash Wednesday prayer service in the Church at 11:30am.

Our Grade 6 students have the opportunity to lead our prayer service in prayers and action.
A significant number of items are placed on a table significant for the Lenten journey.
For both children and indeed adults it is a wonderful opportunity to capture the forthcoming spirit of Lent. An ideal opportunity to reflect on our own Lenten journey that will unfold in the weeks ahead.
Lent is a time to give in prayer, service and support as we attempt to remove some of the clutter that limits our relationship with God.
Our parents, grandparents, friends and parishioners are most welcome to our prayer service.

P&F
Tonight is our AGM for the P&F. We commence the meeting at 7:00pm.
I would encourage parents to support the election process and elect a new executive for 2012.

Swimming Carnival
Congratulations to all our swimmers for a great day yesterday. It was a fun day with lots of events.
We were limited by the weather and our infants due to wet conditions outside the pool were unable to participate. We had many parents and grandparents offering great support both as spectators and helpers on the day. Many thanks to Ms Braz and the staff for their enthusiastic involvement.

Making Jesus Real
On Friday we will have over 40 visiting teachers watch a display lesson from MJR guru ‘Mitch’.
The founder and coordinator of MJR, Mitch will conduct a demonstration lesson with our Grade 6 students. MJR is now taught throughout Australia but has its beginning in Tasmania.
